Dr. Kara Rodriguez

A woman with blonde hair sitting on a brown leather sofa, smiling at the camera, wearing a black blouse, blue jeans, and leopard print shoes.

Dr. Kara is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is also Webster certified to take care of pregnant moms. • Dr. Kara was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois a western suburb of Chicago. She graduated from South Elgin High School in 2013 where she played softball, basketball and was a cheerleader, as well as doing competitive cheer and travel softball outside of school. She was never a fan of the cold and rainy weather that Chicago has to offer, so when she earned a spot on UNT’s cheer squad, she got down here as fast as she could. She attended the University of North Texas where she graduated Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and was on the cheer squad all four years. She continued on to Parker University to pursue her Doctorate in Chiropractic where she graduated Cum Laude and with a clinic recognition award in December of 2020.

While in Chiropractic school, she ventured down several avenues of chiropractic care before landing in the family/pediatric side of chiropractic.

After seeing the amazing dynamic of family/pediatric based practices, she observed some life changing moments created by chiropractic care and knew that was where she needed to be.

  • The Perfect Storm is not a medical diagnosis, but rather how sensory stuck, overwhelmed kids get to where they are. Something that is always clear in genetics and epidemiology is that sequence matters, and it usually the key to the puzzle. As pediatric chiropractors we are trained to find cause, and one thing we found in over 90% of our stuck kiddos is that it started long before they were teh sensory overwhelmed, seven year old. The Perfect Stormencompasses kids from birth to adult hood. Most kids that are stuck in the Storm are dealing with severe ASD, anxiety/depression, constant illness and things like asthma/allergies that land them at the doctors office multiple times a month, autoimmune challenges, OCD, epilepsy, Aspergers, and Sensory Processing disorder … So lets take a look at the Perfect Storm as a whole, and learn why your kiddo did not “grow out of it”.
